Rather egg-cessive

I just spent a good two hours searching for eggs. On Facebook.

I got this invite to join the Hatchlings application. You collect eggs, incubate them to produce hatchlings, feed said hatchlings eggs to keep them happy...


I have no idea why I keep looking for eggs. I guess it's the OCD in me that wants to complete the collection. And damn them for making Limited Edition Eggs that makes me want to collect them even more!


And the strange thing about these hatchlings is that they don't look at all like creatures that come out of eggs. Well, most of them anyway. For God's sake, I have a unicorn hatchling. A UNICORN! But it's preeeeeetty. *_*

Adding to the novelty of the admittedly stoopid application is that you get to name these strange creatures. Spent 30 minutes on that. Some names were rather clever, if I do say so myself. Named a rabbit-looking thing El-Ahrairah.

Some names were just funny. I named a seahorse Whores. Get it? Horse = Whores.

What?! She was purple with long lashes!

However, I haven't gotten in so deep as to purchase Hatchling Apparel and Egg-cessories. (I am not making this up.)

But hey, it's only been two days. I might spend an entire week collecting eggs just to make it into the global top 100 egg collectors. Let's see, that's only a couple more thousand eggs to go...
