On a high

I have been having severe allergic rhinitis attacks for the past 3 days and I finally decided to take medications yesterday. Because as you know, doctors can often be the worst patients. I hate taking meds if I can help it.

So anyway, I doped up on anti-histamines last night and then I went to sleep. The next thing I heard was the sound of a door closing. And when I looked at my mobile phone, I realized that I had snored through the last 5 alarms.

And the next thing I noticed was the time.

OMG. I am so effin' late.

So I rushed to the hospital, skipping breakfast, stuffing clothes into my duty bag and practically flying out the door. It barely registered that I had a text message that I hadn't opened yet.

I finally got to the hospital and found the time to check my mobile phone.

Text message from Dennise.

OMG. I figured they'd get around to getting married but still, it's always good news when there's actually a proposal and a resounding YES!

Congratulations, Den! First GWNN wedding! I know you're probably on a dopamine high right now. Better than drugs, right?
