If you've been to my Facebook page recently, you may have noticed me rambling on and on about something involving real tears and Lee Hom DVDs.
Yes, the package arrived yesterday.
Due to my singular taste in music, it's practically impossible to find the concert DVDs I want. I was only able to purchase that F4 collectible boxset last year because the Philippine masses were introduced to them via Meteor Garden. And even then, there was only one, I repeat, ONE boxset available in the entire Metro Manila area. Believe me, I looked. When I went to pay for the boxset, the salesladies were looking at me as if I had gills behind my ears.
Anyway, when Julette moved to Singapore, I asked her to buy me Lee Hom concert DVDs but she could never get her hands on any because the stores were always out of stock.
Yes, he is that famous. The Filipino people (i.e. my friends who mock me) just haven't realized it yet.
Then came September 2. Sony released Lee Hom's Music Man concert DVD.
Thus started the sequelae of hyperventilation, overseas messaging and pleas for Julette to buy me happiness in a box.
And she did. I'm pretty sure this was a labor of love as evidenced by this FB wall post.
And even better, she bought me two concert DVDs. Because at the time she bought the Music Man concert DVD, there was one Heroes of Earth 2006 Concert DVD. It must have been stored in the back, hoarded by some crazed employee, hoping against hope that she'd be able to sneak the thing back home. Tch.
And how did Julette break the news to me, you ask? Five words.
And in a moment of perfect clarity, I knew.
I knew.
Lee Hom was in on his way to the Philippines.
I spent most of last night watching his concert DVDs as if I was actually there. Singing along to his songs, most of which I know by heart. Answering the questions that I understood. (Because it's in Mandarin with no English subtitles.)
It was my own little piece of heaven.
Mocking may commence. *shielded by forcefield of pure happiness*

Fart, can you message me Leehom's Chinese/Taiwanese (whatever, same-same haha) name to me? And the DVD too. It seems I have to look for the DVDs in a non-English store. Either I'm not pronouncing his name right or the store people think I don't deserve to be buying Mr Leehom's stuff since I don't look like some obsessed, crazed fan.
