K to the I to the M to the CHI


For lack of anything better to do, we pushed through with the plans of eating at a Korean restaurant yesterday. Actually, the initial plan was for a lot of us to go but somehow, Brinee and I ended up dating at Golden Ajirang-i.

Being the nerdorkus that I am, I already googled Korean cuisine days before so I didn't look like a total doofus staring at the menu. We ordered jajangmyeon, some noodle dish, and dak bulgogi, which is basically chicken barbecue.

And a bottle of soju.

As I expected, I didn't really like kimchi. Surprisingly, the jajangmyeon was okay but the dak bulgogi was just fabulous. I'm not sure what they used to marinate the chicken in but I bet there was sugar involved. ^_^

Back to the soju. The waiter seemed a bit surprised when we ordered a bottle of soju and after two shots, we figured out why.

At 20% alcohol, soju packs quite a punch. We hadn't even consumed half a bottle and already we were kinda dizzy. Good thing Marrion came by and finished the rest of the soju.

Before last night, I never understood how the people on koreanovelas get so effin' wasted after 2 bottles of soju. So, yeah. Soju gets you wasted in record time.

And then, in this slightly inebriated state, we capped our Night with Adventurous Brinee by playing Wii. I totally kicked Marrion's ass but now, my arms hurt like hell. And they don't just hurt. Function has been compromised. It doesn't take a sports medicine genius to figure out that I hurt not only muscles but an array of ligaments and tendons as well.

My fine motors are shot. I can barely write legibly.

And I slap myself trying to wash my face.

But I still creamed Marrion's ass in Wii Boxing.
