Well, my right wrist hurts even as I'm typing away because I injured it.
From playing the drums.
On XBOX 360: Rock Band.
It all started with Brinee and her as per usual wild suggestions. She had discovered this new place where you could play games and such for an hourly fee and she suggested we bring Marrion's new wife to said establishment to play Rock Band.
And when they sat me down in front of the drums, I was hooked like a rabid animal to an unsuspecting passerby.
I've always wanted to play the drums. I've always wanted to play a lot of instruments really, including that one time I wanted to play the cello for a Libertango cello concerto. I also had piano lessons somewhere in my childhood but all I remember of that is something about good boys, cows and eating grass.
But still, I've always wanted to play drums because my life is all about rhythm. For crying out loud, I even type to the rhythm of the music playing. Dork, I know.
Well... tonight, Marisse and I went to the XBOX place. Just the two of us. So we could play Rock Band. Her on the lead guitar in her lawyerly skirt and heels. Me on the drums, still smelling like a hospital.
We were surrounded by high schoolers, by the way. Just thought I'd mention that.
Not that I'm saying we're pathetic.
Because we're not. *glare*
