a whole new woooorld...

My first rotation is in Surgery and it's a relief that I'm learning how the system works around nice residents that aren't out o give you demerits simply for being sleepy. I think I've gotten the rhythm of my "job" but what's really strange is that the hospital is like a whole other environment where you greet every single person you bump into. Sure, it's for courtesy purpose but you don't do that much anywhere else, really. There are times when I go to the nearby mall for lunch sometimes and I have to hold the developing reflex of greeting people left and right. hehehe... But it's okay.
