I saw "The Day The Earth Stood Still" last night. I haven't read the book but I seem to find a trend in alien vs human movies. Aliens think of humans as nothing but destructive creatures not worth saving. Then, in the end, aliens change their mind because some human gets emotional and shows that we're not just destructive creatures, we cry too. Looking at it from an alien point of view, I think it's rather pathetic that we're saved just because we're weepy. That we destroy things then cry about it. It's so human to try to justify everything. I'm not saying I'd rather die. I'm only human after all.
But dude, if the alien is going to be Keanu Reeves, please please please abduct me.
