It's been raining forever in Cagayan de Oro and there have been several flash floods already. Not exactly typical of my hometown. While I may not be feeling the flooding seeing as I basically live on a mountain, I get the picture. Mother Nature's pissed.
And no. That building seen on top of the mountain is not my house.
In other news, there seems to be a strange shortage of external drives in the city. My current storage units are filled to capacity and with Big Bang Theory back up and running, much downloading is expected. Actually, I could have bought an external drive like two weeks ago but I figured I could save up some more for one with a higher capacity since even though it would be more expensive, buying a higher capacity drive would be cheaper if the costing was gigabyte per gigabyte. I would actually be saving money! Right?!
This blog is starting to read like Confessions of a Shopaholic: Nerd Edition.
Whatever. I spent last week working to buy a new external drive in baby pink but as I scoured the city for such an item, there was none. This is an emergency, people!
Oh. And the flooding is an emergency, as well. So, feel free to donate clothing and such to the proper agencies. And they need soap apparently. A lot of soap. I'm serious! I heard it on the radio.
Anyway, here I am with enough money to buy something that isn't available. I feel too depressed to work. If only my mother could see me now. Four years of medical school and a year of internship so I could use my professional fees to buy computer stuff.
