I've always liked what society has arbitrarily labeled as "boy games". Sure, I was given Barbies and creepy dolls with beady eyes but I don't remember playing with those things. Unless you count having Barbie jump the plank from the Lego Pirate Ship my brother and I set up.
Then my brother got his Sega and I remember playing Sonic and Dune. I wasn't that into Sonic because I looked kinda stupid in my chair, swerving along with Sonic to catch all those rings. The sound associated with the acquisition of gold rings was certainly addicting. I can still hear it now.
Anyway, I mostly played Dune. All that harvesting and cursing worms that ate my harvesters. Buying a lot of tanks and beating down on the enemy camp with like, twenty weapons of destruction. Life was good.
Then my brother broke his Sega. And parents don't buy their eldest daughter Playstations.
Then came high school. Julette's boyfriend at the time had a Playstation and in between dates and watching porn on the Betamax (OMG, a Betamax.), I kicked ass on Tekken. I remember hating anyone playing Yoshimitsu because his moves were so lame. Or mostly because I lost to Yoshimitsu. I guess my anger was distracting me. One must not fight with hate in his heart, sensei.
Then Julette broke up with PS guy and I no longer had access to said boyfriend's games.
Then I got hooked to... SIMS! On PC! I am strangely fascinated with sim games of any sort. I guess I like the control. One time, during medical board review, I was getting sick of studying so I played Virtual Villagers: The Secret City and I made one villager study medicine. I call it learning by proxy. *grin*
Anyway, after the board exam, I have not been playing the usual gamer games. Just the lame ones from Reflexive Arcade. But I do want to.
Then Dennise mentions this:

Then Dennise mentions this:
"... the tv is one whole wall so when he [Karsten] beats me up in my favorite Street Fighter game (the only one I 'know'), it (I) look(s) more pathetic. it's very cool if it works really..."Wow. A whole wall. I am going to Germany if only for the wall that is the TV. And whether I win or lose in whatever game, it will be done spectacularly.
